§ 28-5. Safe driving.

  • (a)

    Vehicles, as defined by A.C.A. § 27-51-104, shall be driven on both public and private property in a careful manner and with due regard for the safety and convenience of pedestrians and all other vehicles, and it shall be unlawful for vehicles to be driven in such a manner as to evidence failure to maintain proper control on the public thoroughfare and private property in the city.

    (b)

    All persons operating vehicles in violation of this article, if found guilty, shall be punished for a violation of this Code, and in addition to any fine imposed, may be required to perform public service or to complete an approved defensive driving course, or both.
